I agree shedding at the skin is normal even in the spike area, but it looks like he is actually missing the spikes! Doesn't look good to me...

I took him outside again this time on a big plant and he seemed a lot less upset. Here's a couple pics from when I brought him back inside. His colors are finally starting to come in real nice! : )

Those of you that do bring your chams outside, how do you go about doing so?

Haha maybe lol! It's a male veiled and hes 10.5 months. The temps outside were mid 70's and really sunny. I doubt he didn't want to come in though, he was pissed from the beginning lol.

Took my chameleon outside and he totally freaked out! He turned crazy yellow and sunburst and puffed up to the size of a softball! Ive never seen colors like this in him before! Is it normal that they are afraid of the outdoors like this? It was so hard to get him to come back in, I was...

Not every coil bulb causes blindness and you don't absolutely need to have that kind of bulb, just make sure the bulb you are using is safe!

This being my first Chameleon I am just checking up to see if he looks healthy. He is ten months old now and is getting over a shed. He eats about six to eight crickets and superworms every other day now, and his poop seems healthy! Let me know what you think! Thanks

That's weird as age is an important factor! He probably wont grow much more, just fill in nicely most likely. He is great though! I got lucky because his personality is awesome. He loves to crawl out of his cage and sit up on my arm to see whats going on, although he still does have his off...

My male veiled is about 8 months now, seems healthy but only eats a 3-5 large crickets or large super worms a day now. Although he does eat a bunch of veggies that i just hang from the top of the cage. I clean them and make sure the veggies I offer are full of calcium and nutrients. He loves...
