Is This OK

My male veiled is about 8 months now, seems healthy but only eats a 3-5 large crickets or large super worms a day now. Although he does eat a bunch of veggies that i just hang from the top of the cage. I clean them and make sure the veggies I offer are full of calcium and nutrients. He loves parsley the most! I was wondering if this is OK that he eats less insects and more veggies?

As chams get older they don't need to be fed as much. two large feeder items every other day seems to be a pretty sustainable diet for adult panthers and veileds. As for the veggies... just be sure you are dusting your bugs correctly and are feeding 'safe' veggies.

I have a vemail veiled who LOVES to eat her plants.... I dunno if it's cause I don't feed her enough or she likes the taste... either way she seems pretty healthy.

I just wanted to thank you for coming back and making the comment about the age of your baby in the picture. That is very smart and polite and sadly, rare....Kudos.

It's rare for people to say the age of your cham?

He looks pretty good in that photo... almost an adult. He grew well for you.

Yes, it's rare for new people to ask a question that is "age dependent" and then post a picture and provide the age. At least, that's what I've seen.

That's weird as age is an important factor! He probably wont grow much more, just fill in nicely most likely. He is great though! I got lucky because his personality is awesome. He loves to crawl out of his cage and sit up on my arm to see whats going on, although he still does have his off days lol. We all do though haha...

Thanks
