i got my new baby veiled when he was only 2 weeks old. He was acting completely normal until today I noticed him scratching his eye on a plant. I know sometimes they will do this as they shed but isn't he still to young to shed? I don't know I am just very concerned considering my last veiled just passed away from unknown causes.

Hi @Bubblesbabycham , he looks good . How are you misting and how long ?https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/how-to-ask-for-help.66 .

I mist him at least 5 or 6 times a day. I do not have a dropper for him so all the water he gets is from me misting him. But when I do mist him I get his entire cage pretty wet. I clean his entire cage once a week as well.
I'm just thinking he may be trying to clean his eye . How long are your durations ?

I spray him every 2-3 hour i'm guessing for about 10-15 seconds at a time., and yes you might be right. I assumed he might just be trying to clean it because this is the first and only time I've seen him itch it like that. But i'm just trying to play it safe.

Ok so your misting needs to be way longer . Around 5 min each session . 10 to 15 sec is not near long enough for him to clean his eyes .
