Hello I'm new to the forums and would like some information regarding my chameleons recent behavior , I noticed a change In her behavior In the past 2-3 days, everything's been perfect so far except that she seems to be rubbing her stomach and chin as she walks, this is the only thing I can describe to you at this time, she's fed calcium/vitamins on her crickets & Goliath worms, thank you for your advice

she looks pretty plump to me! Do you have a laying bin in her cage for her to lay eggs? Has her appetite decreased at all?

Can you fill out the how to ask for help form? Also, may not be related but she looks heavy, does she have a laying bin in her enclosure?

has she been going to the bottom of the cage? Have you tried setting her inside the bin to dig? I am thinking she could have eggs? Did she ever lay any eggs before???

She has been going to the lower section of her leaves and branches, however I seen her on the ground a couple times but never dug, she will go right back up and just relax, every time I put her in the bin she wants out, she will go around the walls and try to climb out,

Echoing everyone, she looks like she has eggs. Does she have a place in the cage she can go scratch around to let you know she needs to be moved to her laying bin?

This is her right now (that's a 5.0 UVB bulb) she also tries to climb the top and hangs on, than she will go back down

Inside her bin is exo terra plantation soil substrate, and yes there is a spot or 2 to show me she's trying to dig, but no sign of digging yet

If she's gravid and you don't provide a place for her to lay the eggs, she could die eggbound. There is a certain time frame when the eggs can be laid and if she passes this point she will need a vet to help her.

She's beautiful. I think I can see eggs in the second picture you just posted. Can you put a bin in the cage with her? It doesn't have to be huge, but it should be around 12 inches deep (which is an issue, I know). If you can get something 12x12x12 it would be ideal....as close to that as possible would probably be okay.

Yes she is ,I'm going to try that now actually, perhaps I'll see if she has made an attempt to try to dig

If she starts digging, yes. If you can get a bin in her cage, you might want to start a hole for her to sort of inspire her (or, give her the tired girl's way out....look at it however you want).

So she's in her laying bin, an this is what she's pretty much doing, an that's how she lays most of the time which she never did before

From the picture you just posted she looks like she has MBD. Do you have a good chameleon vet in your area?
