That what I was thinking at first, but she never had that lazy look to her, only happened 3 days ago, she was always moving and stretching etc, she was walking an moving perfectly until now
Maybe you just caught her in a bad moment. Her joints look good. Did you give her a starter hole?
Is this bin in her cage? If so, maybe run a vine down from the main part to the bin so she can go up and down as needed. If not, then you probably want to put something in there she can climb on a bit...
No the bin is not in her cage, it won't fit, and shes been like this for about 3-4 days, does the bin being outside her cage pose a problem? Should I put her in the bin all day, than cage at night?
Can you put something in her cage she can dig in? It doesn't have to be a true laying bin, it just needs to be deep enough for her to get some dig action going. When you see that, you move her to the laying bin.
I would try to give her something to cling to in the laying bin even if she's been digging. It could just be a stick you push into the sand so it can be climbed on.
So I brought her to the vet! She does not have MBD. She has a stomach full of eggs, and low bone density in her legs/feet only, calcium injections are required once a week, she should be alright! She weighs 150grams ! Last time I weighed her she was at 40grams , little piggy, I just wanna say thank you to all those who helped me with advice an information it's very appreciated !!
Did the vet give you any idea when she would be ready to lay? You're going to have to keep an eye on her and get her into the laying bin when she's ready. She probably gave up calcium in her bones to make the eggs, so you'll want to keep giving her regular calcium, probably extra for awhile.
Was this her normal bed time? I'm wondering if she went to sleep in the towel. Once they're asleep, they're pretty well out of it. People move them when they are asleep for that reason: they won't notice being put on a truck and driven across town.
I've seen stories of them sleeping through construction projects in the room with them. It doesn't really surprise me that--as she hasn't been well--she might really need to sleep.
If she starts sleeping when it's not bed time, it's something to be concerned about.
K thanks, ever since I got her back from the vet, on her opposite side where she got her calcium shot seems to be lazy, she's not using it that much, and when she's sleeping she just let's it hang...???
Do you mena tshe cant walk on it at all?
and is it her front leg she cant walk on, or one particular side?
Some chams just like to let an arm or leg dangle down.
I took it that she can walk on it (and all) but that when she sleeps, it dangles.
As camimon notes, sometimes they let a limb dangle and it doesn't surprise me that she might let a limb that's had an injection close by dangle. She might be a little sore and this is just more comfortable for her.
