10 month old Nosy Faly with a weak grip

That looks like a WC chameleon, a recent WC too. If your issue is that it was sold to you as a CB then you do have a valid point. The other issues brought up in other places are also valid, however everything stems from the first point above. If you purchased a WC then issues like a weak grip, color that you did not expect are not issue to complain as those are things that come with the gamble of a WC. Also, you had better start putting together some better posts on the other place or you are going to get a wicked backlash.

Shower and to the vet.....

Yeah, a banged up casque does not happen in captivity. I'd give him a long warm sink shower and carefully remove the poop. Ocycts (parasite eggs)could be slowly falling off all over his cage so he can ingest them.

Going to the vet is a must. Importers/breeders often give Panacur since it's easy to do. But that leaves out a bunch of other things. Coccidia comes to mind because the runny poop. That is a hard one to get rid of but the sooner you figure out the parasite situation the better. Keep us updated as we are now hooked on your little drama here.

Chad, are you referring this to BOI? i have no way of proving it is WC.....

I was told, and it was sold to me as a CB animal, that came directly from Pam.

Good job on matching them Sandy! They are the same. I'm feeling really stupid right now. Who is "the OP" being referred to? I'm obviously missing something.

I think this male does have potential. He has a health issue for sure because of the grip situation. But his coloring, or lack of it, is probably partly due to the stress of an new home. I think you will be pleasantly surprised when he is acclimated and healthy again.

The OP I referred to was COlorcham427. I missed something, too. Apparently there is more conversation about this elsewhere.

Pam's a forum member.......

Pam's a forum member.....send her a picture and ask her directly if she has had anything to do with it. Tell her that Catherine Adams suggested you ask her. She's a friend. She will tell you the truth.

looks like a refund is in order. lost a little bit of money, but not worth the hassel of vet bills etc. the dealers aren't bad people.

I am looking forward to seeing him grow into his colors. It took about 3 sheds for our guy to clean up his colors. With the right female yours should produce some pretty nice offspring with lots of white and plenty of red dots. And if you do 2 bloodlines, one from this guy and one from your Screameleons faly, then you can offer unrelated pairs, which is great.

He is CB sired by Fanogwa, but I have to say he has looked better.. here's a pic from last summer.

[/IMG], he looked great fired-up for the ladies on their website...chameleonkeeper...

His resting colors are starting to lighten up. I have a strong feeling this guy just isn't blue as I wished. His greens are bothering me... He atleast has a lot of white and red speckling, atleast in the photos i have seen.

lets hope he has time to get more coloring... he is only 10 months old...

I think its the same faly

Well, that's good news. It must be from being kept outdoors that he took on the WC grimey look.

I think Catherine owns Fanagwa now? That's a terrific bloodline.

When I first saw this thread I said "wow that looks just like.... na couldn't be"
Then I dug up a pic of him and sure enough its him.

Send him my way I'll clean him up.:D

WOW, interesting.

LOL!!! I agree. This thread is all over the place:eek:

Sandy, do you think they could get that grimey look from just being housed out doors? (This is a real question not a smart remark:)). My animals have only looked better after being housed outdoors for short or long periods. Even the WCs I have gotten. It seems the stress and importation process is what gives them the dirty look to me. Could this possibly be from being housed in poor conditions and or with one or more chams? He certainly looks vibrant in Todnedos pics.

Well, it depends on if you are housing them outdoors near a demolition site or waste management facility. (This is a smart remark:)).

Colorcham if this is the Faly you were talking about with me I am interested in him def. I know he's nowhere near being ready to be shipped again so soon though.
