I have a 10 months old male veiled chameleon who needs a new home.
As my previous post said. We're moving and can not take care of our chameleons any more. So I am giving away this guy.
This is my very first chameleon and I treasure him like no other cham. So please, no random guy who just want a free pet. Experienced owner only. I will pay for the shipping. His name is Zorro. He is a very calm guy. He never hiss or bite. However he has some foot problem.
About 3 months ago, I thought he broke one of his ankle, cuz he wasn't putting weight on it. So I took him to the vet. After the vet examining the x-ray thoroughly, he concludes it's only a sprang ankle. He gave us some metacam for pain killer. After taking the metacam 3cc a day for about 2 weeks, he did recover and was back to the happy cham he was. After another 2 weeks, things changed, his condition started to deteriorate. His joints all swell up as in the pictures.
He is not deteriorating any more, but the swellings are not going away either. Besides his legs, he is fine. He still moves around and eats. May be the medicine caused his kidney to fail and caused gout?? I dunno, but it's not important. The important thing is he needs a caring new owner.
please feel free to ask me if you have any question. thanks
