my sister bought a "3 month old veiled chameleon" off of a website and to her suprise (this morning) it appears to be a 2-3 WEEK old...based off pictures i can see. local shops dont sell pinhead crickets and i wont have a shipment of them in hand for 3-5 days. what are around the house insects we can try to feed it? its 1.5 inches including tail... this was a huge suprise that caught us both off guard..

Try and catch tiny moths, sowbugs, termites really about any non-toxic pestiside free tiny insects will do. Set up a light outside at night and you will be able to catch lots of little insects. Goodluck!!!

florida

i ordered some pinheads that will be here (hopefully tomorrow). got him to eat a baby house fly i found outside in the screened in porch. put 2 harmless spiders in his cage and 1 is gone. he sure does drink alot ha

I've had good luck using rose aphids off people who didn't spray their roses. They are small, pretty juicy and it's easy to just pinch off an infected rosebud.

if it came down to it & u ever run out & its decent weather outside buys some fruit and leave it sit outside for a day or two and im sure youl be bound to have fruit flies :)

At my petco they sell flightless fruit flies.
You can try to look there, you have to personally ask a worker for them because theyre in the back.
Thats what i had to do when my hubby brought me home a baby panther

If he is that young, fruit flies are a good food item. you could get some from petco or petsmart or you could get order them online from snailtail. be sure to ask that they ship you a culture that is already booming with flies. Unforunately most of the time, the ones from petco or petsmart aren't very 'active'.
