2 Chameleons at work

hey guys
so i have 2 veild chameleons and work, one male and one female.
when i started there, they wernt handled or socalized with people.
when ever i would do near them they would hiss and puff up at me.

I desided about a week ago that i would start and try to work with them.
I have had great sucsess with the female. she now allows me to stick my hand in the cage to pick her up and is now eating while i am holding her.
She love to sit in my hands while leaning against my chest, and turns a very bright green.

But i am having some problems with the male.
He wants nothing at all to do with me. He only like this one guy at our store.
So i have been getting adam to work with him, but he dosent have the same amount of time that i do.

Do u guys have any ideas or tips i could use to calm this guy down

They are about 6 months maybe a little older... i will get some pics today when i am at work and post them later.

same thing at work with me lol. i dont have much time, and i am always doing things, but the chameleons prefer me to anyone so i have to get them out. be sure you are using the correct technique to take them out move slow, and gently slide your hand under the male. from my experience with about 12 different veilds we have received at work they are mainly talk and wont bite they may even lung, but have never bit me. once you get your hand under their chin they seem to calm down, and you can then work them off their branch.

Thats the male... he puffs up and lunges at my hand if i try to get him...
i know its going to take some time.. i just want these guys to be friendly enough that i will be able to find them a good home.

i might be taking the female home with me

thats what i did, and im lucky they look like they are going to be compatible for breeding i introduced them the other day so i could see how they acted, and they just looked at each other and walked by. no stress bars or anything.

SHE is so green now. she was being house close quarters with another one despite me telling them they didnt care and ordered 2 in the same cage, and she was normally black so i guess you could say she was rescued from conditions that probably would have killed her.

males from what people have shown on the forum are a little more aggressive, but when people come in to buy a chameleon they need to be aware this is not a dog/ cat and the animal may only learn to tolerate them, and will probably never love them, but thats not why we own reptiles.

Sometimes no matter how much you try to hold them they just don't get used to handling and may always puff up at you when you try. I had a male and female veiled that I bought as babies, they were handled the same amount of time but the male would hiss and put on a show thinking it would make me not pick him up. I have heard that many male veileds can be like this, but of course there are some exceptions like 'Lombardi" the male veiled, he is huge, has great colors and has been handled since a young age and is still easy to handle.

ya.. he is not the happyest camper at the moment.
I have to get him out by placing a stick into his cage so he will climb onto it. but once he is out he is ok for a bit with me but as soon as he sees adam he wants off me and onto him.
I think adam is thinkning about maybe taking him.

Another consern i have with the male is that he is soooo skinny.
i have been giving him crickets, wax worms, and super worms.
I think that i am going to start a feeding chart for the two of them today when i go into work.

The female i have gotten nice and fat, and everyday she is looking better and better, also her additude is amasing... she fast though when she wants to be, allways keeping me on my toes
