2 Panther female chameleons white

Chameleon Info:
  • Your Chameleon - amibole, femal, 1- 1.5 years old 2 - 2.5 years old. How long has it been in your care? - 1 - 1 year, 2 - 1.5-2 years
  • Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon? - Never
  • Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders? gut loading by feeding the crickets food.
  • Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? - Repashy super load, 10-15 crickets every2 days
  • Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking? mist king....
  • Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites? never tested. droppings are white with orange end
  • History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you. Been fine for the previous 2 years until about a month ago

Cage Info:
  • Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions? - Glass Exo terra large extra large

  • Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
  • Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
Lighting and temps i am using the sunray fixture... basking is at 58 ferenheit and the ambient is at 65
  • Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
  • Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
  • Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor? nothing near by...
  • Location - Where are you geographically located? in Canada

Current Problem - My female panther chameleons are both white... indicating a shed but they havnt shed... same setup, same plants... clean the cage 1 a week, never handle them... Mist king schedule has been the same since i set it up...

In the past they have not a had any issues shedding...


The weird part is both are doing the exact same thing....
 
Did I see that correctly;
58°F and 65°F?
If that's the case, it's far too cold. I believe it should be about 75°-80°F ambient and 85°-90°F basking.

I embarrassingly had this same thing happen to my Panther this past winter and I caught it in time. He was turning so light and gray, even though I swore I was doing everything right. I thought my temps were fine, but as soon as I moved them to an easier temp regulated part of the house, he came back to being as bright as ever.

o_O I think you need a new temperature measuring device...

If that is correct, it is way too cold and you either need to replace your basking bulb or get a stronger one.
