2 part food question

First off, im use to using store bought water like arrowhead for misting down my enclosure but im out of arrowhead and i have this reptisafe water conditioner and i was wondering if it is safe to use? 2nd part of the question is i have these silk worms that are getting huge(adult size) and i have noticed a couple of them turn brown and start to shrivel and die. Is it because they cant cacoon? or is it something else

You can follow the directions, and use the repisafe. I think there is a waiting period before using. I keep more then one hand mister, and rotate them. I fill one bottle with tap water and let it sit, with top open for 24 hours before using. You can also let the bottle sit in sunlight (open top), to speed up the chlorine chem. break down process.

A picture would help us better determine if viral mush thing, or transforming into cacoon stage. When you say huge, are they in the 3 inch range?

As far as the water can i just boil regular tap water? and yes the silkies are about 3 inches and are fat will give pic soon.

Depends on the quality of the tap water and what has been added to it. Chlorine will boil off or off-gas. Heavy metals and chloramine dont.

Mine have done the same thing. They started to cocoon and most of them did but there were about 5 that just turned brown and died. I have about 6-7 cocoons. I just picked out the dead ones. Two actually cocooned inside Rockos cage. They were only there for one whole day and I guess he didn't eat them. IDK
