In the rules above it says that the photo contest rules apply for the video contest, too. The photo contest rules say that no text is allowed. Does that mean we can't have a title screen at the beginning of a video?

Bummer that the videos need to be over 30 seconds!I have several I couldn't enter but they are all a few seconds too short!
What about an intro "picture" to lead into the video? A little editing and you could have a long enough clip. Ask @Brad what he thinks.
That's fine. We don't want a lot of text throughout the video and we don't want advertising.

Check out the very last video posted by Brad of some of the videos from the 2012 contest.....
That video clearly has text in the intro. Just as Brad mentioned, as long as there is not text throughout your vid, I think it'd be fine.
There is no theme for this video contest. We may do something specific for the next one.WOW!!! im giving this a shot...
@Brad just a query are there any theme/criteria in particular thats need to be address in the video ? or any will do as long as its a Chameleon vid?

The video contest entry deadline has been extended to Monday, March 13th. We received a couple requests and would like to get a few more entries if possible. Voting will begin next week.

I have received several related questions. Members can delete their current video and upload a new one at any time before the entry deadline.

Come on people!!! Let's get those entries in . There's still time. Baby vids, feeding vids, drinking vids, sunning vids, free range vids, leaf-walk vids, just sitting in one spot vids, in nature vids, etc, etc, etc...

We received 20 video entries for this contest and all will proceed to the voting round. In the spirit of March Madness we have decided to break voting up into two brackets. The top 5 videos from each bracket will compete in a final poll to decide the ultimate winners. Each of the three polls will be held sequentially and last for 1 week.
Planned schedule:
Bracket 1: Poll ends March 24th
Bracket 2: Poll ends March 31st
Final: Poll ends April 7th
New threads will be created for the two brackets. The final poll will take place in this thread.

We received 20 entries. Each was given a number according to when it was submitted to the contest. Odd numbers were placed into bracket 1 and even number were placed in bracket 2.
