I have a male veiled that is a little over 2yrs. The last week or so he has been going to the bottom of his cage and staying there. He hasn't been eating his food and dropping weight. He is drinking water. No discharge or sores seen around mouth, eyes.
He just seems off... Are some this short lived?

No with the proper care they can easily live 8+ years. Like jannb said post a pick, and fill out an ask for help form which I will leave a link to, and we will try to figure what's going on and provide you with some help.https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/how-to-ask-for-help.66/

Have a Jackson and Bearded in the same location (different cages), both are fine.
Been putting him in the shower in case it was constipation. he just had a runny slimy bowel movement a few mins ago. (brown & white) Ive got a vet appointment tomorrow.
Ill try and get some photos this evening.

I see a few thing that jump out.
(1). Your supplementation should be calcium with D3 twice a month. multivitamin twice a month, and calcium without D3 at every other feeding.

(2). You should upgrade your enclosure to a bigger one a 4'x2'x2'.

(3). Temperature should be 90-95 degrease in the basking, and down to the low 70's at the bottom.

(4). Humidity is important with these guys you should invest in a digital hydrometer they aren't that expensive. Place it near the center of the enclosure. It should be 70-75%, after misting and drop to 40-45% while drying out which it should do completely.

(5). He has to have a UVB bulb of at least 5.0 to convert the calcium, or otherwise he could develop MBD.

Hope this is helpful, and remember to take in a stool sample when you go to the vet,

Sorry for your loss, please take the advice above as your learning experience, maybe when you ready for ur next cham, you will be more prepare n success.

This makes me worried for your Jackson chameleon though, their care is much more complicated and require several of the things you veiled was missing and yet different temps and different supplementation. Can you fill out the same form for you jackson?

He is double the Veiled's age and has been fine. (also from a few weeks old and is almost 5)

Just because he's older doesn't mean he's as healthy as could be. A normal healthy Jackson lifespan at least for a male is about 8 years. Does he show signs of mbd?
