This is St-Félicien's zoo, about 135km away from Chicoutimi, where i live. St-Félicien is a very small city, with maybe 15,000 people. The zoo is indeed very big, and is located very up north in Quebec province. To give you an idea of how big it is, the little train travel lasts one hour and is 7km long. You get to see bears, deers, ducks, wolves and many more, and they all live in very big areas. The rest of the zoo is divided into 6 parts, including Mongolia, Asia, Mountain, the little farm, Artic and mixed forest (sorry for the possible bad translations!!). The smallest of them is probably only half a kilometer square, while some are easily 2 to 4 km square.
The downside of this zoo is also its best side: the location. Since it is almost 300km away from Quebec city and 460km away from Montreal, there isn't many people who can visit it. Therefore, it doesn't make as much money as many other zoos, and that means less animals available. However, it gives the zoo the opportunity to get bigger and bigger without any problem!
Anyway, it was quite fun! And i got to try my new 70-300mm lens for the first time! And i don't regret it!!
Haha, not at all! I am still learning, and willing to get better, but i have A LOT to improve! However, i'll take that as a positive comment! Thank you!
Morpheon they are fantastic. I happen to love Moose so I enjoyed that, the owls and the polar bears. I enjoyed all the pictures, but I guess it is time for you to get back to training me to take pictures. I very much still need you.
