Friday nite
Saturday nite and now Sunday nite he has went to sleep at the very bottom of viv. Actually on the glass.
He was cold wen I went to pick him up and started to hiss at me very loud.
He puffed up an his chin went big. He seemed very weak like he cudnt climb abit disoriented aswell. I had jus woke him up cos he lukd dead. So wud that be y he was abit confused.
He's gone bk to a branch but low dwn.
All my temps r rite his basking spot and lower down viv.
He is defo a male so can't b digging.
Jus dnt know ways up wit him he's been eating and drinking in day.
Any ideas. I have made afew posts past couple of nites about same issue for any more info on wat he's been doing.
Thanks ppl

at this point if he was mine i would take him into the vet for a check up. i am a known worry wart however so we'll see what other members think. if he seems weak he may not be able to hold himself up in the branches and thay may be why. i would take him into a vet and get him checked out, but that is completely my opinion.

I agree Jasmine......I would be going to a vet. I don't even need to look over the other threads. This is a real warning sign. Please get to a vet.

I am from merseyside.
He's been eating and drinking.
He's moving about fine now.
It's like he gets down then he gets too cold to b able to climb back up.
Wat do use think.
He's wud keep eating if I kept putting food in so dnt think he's sick.
Wat about constipation can this happen noticed him eating soil earlier so thinkn he mite b struggling to poo

If I were you I'd listen to the more experienced members on this forum, heed their advise and get your Cham to a vet familiar with exotics ASAP. It is also difficult to understand your "text" writing. Both members that offered you advise are experienced with Chams so I would not second guess their opinions. Reptilelove also offered to help locate a vet in your area (what state are you in?) I'm sure you want the very best for your Cham; a trip to the vet will address your concerns & identify what is wrong with your friend.

Am from england not in a state.
An the breeder who I got him off has assured me that he will be ok.
Was about to post something later saying he's gone to sleep high up for first time in 3 nites. Just wanted to wait couple hours to make sure he stays up there.
Will take sum pics.
My texting/writing I thought was pretty understandable haha I was wrong. Because am from liverpool, England.
Thanks for ur inputs everyone but hopefully this was just a phase.
Also if he's tired and wanted to go asleep and his lights were still on do u think he wud look for a darker spot to go to sleep. Changed the timer on his lights so go off earlier and cum on earlier. Still 12 hours. Do use think he would do that

Ok, please just take him to a vet. At this point you're going to attract half the members on the forum. We're all going to say practically the same thing.
For the sake of your chameleon, take him to the dang vet please, he is NOT fine. When chameleons do that, it's always a late warning sign.

And this is the third day? Take him to the vet.

Well the breeder told me he will b ok. If any1 is goin to take him the vet then he can. He's kept chams for 15 years so will take his word for it before ppl on this. Everyone was telling me he was a she the other day. He's been good all day eat a load of locusts and couple crickets.
Had to turn bedroom light on to take pic that's y looks bright before u ppl start sayn dnt turn light in while he sleepn.

I know u ppl are only looking out for chams health but will wait to see before taking him to vet and causing him more stress.

Ok....so hes not on the floor tonight then? And he definitely has spurs?

So how long have you had him?
And how easy is it for you to get your breeder to take him to the vet?
When did he last poop?

we are not trying to be mean to you in any way. you asked for help and opinions and we are giving them based on what we know. "everyone" was not saying he was a she the other day, that would be a hundred + people.. i apologize if our opinions upset you in any way we were simply doing what you asked and telling you what we thought about what we would do in that situation.

I understand ur opinion but telling me to do something isn't a opinion.
When I said everyone I meant everyone who replied to the threads, ok.
The breeder would obviously take him to a vet if he thought he needed to.
Some ppl have told me and I have read that they have known chams to sometimes sleep at the bottom of cage or jus lie on there stomachs.
Thanks for info ppl no thanks for the telling a off

He had a small poop today.
When cleaned cage noticed two browny slightly moist poop aswell as the one he jus done.
Got him home Sunday 3rd of march.
He is now 17 weeks old.
Anymore info needed

I know you said the temps were right but can you tell me what they are please. Also what lights are you using on the cage? Does he sleep during the day? Is he still sleeping on the floor?

Kinyonga read the other post it says he's sleeping high and pics of him.
I've also posted my temps and they are all ok.
All day today I have sat watching him and moving the probe about checking temps at different levels.

He doesn't sleep in the day.
My light is a repti-glo 10. X 2
Basking bulb
Little dripper
Two real plants
Loads of foliage for him
Anything else u want to know

Nothing else I'd like to know for now. Do you still have the poop? hahaha.....I think a fecal test at a vet would be the very least that I would do in your place.
Any exotic vet should do a test relatively cheaply for parasites.
Personally, now I have all the information......if he were mine....I would not rush him to the vet.......
but I would keep a very very close eye on him and be ready to get a taxi to an emergency place.....I hope this helps even though we cannot diagnose anything for you.

Could you tell us the number values of the temps you're reading? Sometimes people say their temps are perfect and come to find out that their basking spot is 100F! Or that the coolest temp in the cage is 85F, which is not cool enough.
