3rd nite my male has slept at the bottom of viv!!!!!

Just a question, when you come on the forum and ask for help what did you expect? Do you not feel members were trying to help you by saying take your Cham to the vet? I usually say " if he were mine" I would take him to the vet. Your descriptions tells us you have a Cham with a problem, we offer the best advice we can give based on what little info you have been willing to provide. I just can't see why you feel you were wronged. We are thinking about what is best for your Cham - what are you thinking about?

My basking is from 90to 92
My middle part is around 77 to 81.
In night my cage drops to 58 to 64
The breeder is know has always had his basking spot over 95 but I lowered mine after ppl said was too high.
And no got no poop ha

Hello again- if I came off rude, I entirely apologize. I know it can be overwhelming when getting so many responses; it may feel like you are under verbal attack and judging by the amount of threads you have posted, you are obviously a concerned Cham owner. In my short time on this forum I have seen individuals ask for opinions & help, then not follow up with additional information that could aid them in receiving sound, solid advice or disregard the advice offered from senior members on this forum (that have a plethora of knowledge, experience and good intent when offering it). Sometimes the Chams health takes a turn for the worse & unfortunately they can deteriorate rather quickly which is most likely why you were urged to seek the aid if a vet. I really don't think anyone is wanting to make you feel uncomfortable, we just want to help. I know my herp vet told me that if my Cham is sleeping during the day or has eye(s) that are closed during daytime hours or if I find him sleeping on the floor, to come see him. Also- when inadequate info isn't provided then people can only assume instead of eliminate variables which may cause your Cham to exhibit such behavior. Wishing both of you the best!

Ok thank you! Yes, those look fine. Sometimes chameleons sleep towards the bottom of their cage because people use night-lights/ceramic heaters and the cage is at 80-90F all day long so they're going crazy trying to cool down.

Do you still have that heat mat on the floor? I think that he may just be sleeping near it to stay a little warmer at night.

I joined this for abit of extra info not to be told to go do something laurie.

Ammandagreen and olypiao. Thanks for ur posts.
Over all my threads I think I have provided all info I cud I even filled out a care sheet.
The breeder is always on other end of fone if I need care for Cham.
The threads wr to c if any1 else had experienced the same problems.
If u google it over the years there has been many ppl with this problem but turns out to b nothin but in some cases it cud b mean problems for a Cham.

After his little episode over the weekend he's been looking like he's back to his self.
Thought wud post something incase anybody was wondering how he was.

chameleons in the wild expect a +-10 degree temperature drop off at night. If hes too hot at night could he possible be going as far away of the heat source as possible? just a suggestion do you havea large viv

Yes have large viv. The drop at nite was 13f from the ambient.
The my baskings goes off 15 min before my lights so cools down before light dims to darkness.
Might of been down to him shedding or maybe wanting to go asleep earlier than his lights were going off.
Since changed his on off times he's been sleeping good.
Thanks
