my Panther is about 16 weeks old.. is it normal that he is not showing much color yet? his cheeks are barely turning green where it looks like he's blushing a little. and also his forehead.. sometimes his stomach seems a little red.. but thats about it.. also, i dont know if he's little for his age?.. he's probably about 4-5 inches long from the tip of his nose to his tail base.. anyone experienced ppl plz feel free to give opinion..

Hello! I have a panther the same age, he's still totally brown and white besides a little blue in his cheeks and orange around his eyes, that's it! I didn't think it was normal either until I read some threads on here. I don't think there's anything to worry about... Not sure how long he should be at this age either, maybe some pics of him standing on a ruler? Hope I helped!

Here is a shot of my Fenix at 14 wks. He was just starting to pop. :)

If you post a picture we can confirm that it is indeed a male. Some of them just take longer to color up than others. Especially locales from the east coast like sambavas. Late bloomers tend to have very vibrant colors once they get going in my experience.

Yeah some can take longer, but do post a pic. I was worried about George for a while, but now at 6 months old he is finally coloring up.

sorry guys.. this thing would not let me upload pics till now.. anyhow, this pic is from the 3rd of this month.. i will try to take more recent ones. i had been told male on here before but nothing is forsure right? thanks guys tell me what u think..

I definitely think its a male. Some chams color up early and some later. It really depends a lot on the genetic traits. My male old spice gained color really quick. You can check out my photo album of him. I took pictures about every month to show his progression. He looks healthy, and thats what really matters. Here is a pic of my cham "old Spice" at just over 2 months.

thank you for your response.. im thinking that maybe i was not feeding him enough.. last time i asked, i was told mixed answers. some saying let him feed as much as he wants.. others said about 10 a day.. so i was doing 8-10 crickets per day. sometimes a meal worm or two.. but now i just let him eat as much as he wanted which ended up being about 15-20 crickets per day for the past 3 days and now i see alot of color coming in!! his arms.. his sides.. over night too!! anyone with opinion of their own plz respond. thanks for your help guys!

C'mon guys! This is not a thread "show how fast your boy got colors!"
I think your boy looks healthy, he will get his colors pretty soon and you will be surprised how fast he colors up:)

thank u mat3o.. i hope so, i was really beginning to think he is a she. lol. not a bad thing, just would be surprising

He'll color up on his own time. Dont worry. Just make sure he is growing properly. I think it was a smart choice to start feeding more. 8-10 for a 3 month old isnt enough in my opinion (unless they were fairly big feeders!)

what do you guys think is an appropriate amount of feeders for his age? i feed him small crickets. he loves chasing them. i tried dubia roaches before but he hates them. he wouldnt eat them unless he was starving. and he gets mealworms once in a while. currently he will eat about 15 crickets. i cant tell you how big they are exactly... but they are about the width of his forehead.. some may be a little bigger.. i know they say dont do that but he does not mind at all.
