6 month old female soon to lay eggs?

hey guys im new to this forum. hello! :)

this is my first time dealing with a young female veiled chameleon and i heard that they can lay infertile eggs at random times without having mated before. ive grown suspicious that shes growing eggs since shes sexually mature now at 6 months but she wont let me feel her belly and she doesnt look fat. ive caught her a few times scoping the bottom of her tank but with no evidence of digging. her substrate is a mixture of sand and dirt which is moist enough that she can tunnel without it collapsing on her. is it possible for female chams to not lay eggs at all? im just paranoid because ive never had to worry about getting eggbound and dehydrated or calcium deprived and i want to be prepared so those things dont happen!

any advice from you breeding veterans will be appreciated!

thanks, that helps to know. :) i dont feed her an insane amount of food so she should be good. hopefully i wont have to worry but she has the laybox at the bottom just in case.

I just posted the same question at the same fricken time.. You question NAZI.. Anyway.. you be my friend.. casue my baby is going to be a eggers..

I have had veiled females live to be over 6 years of age without ever producing a single egg. I think that if they are not overfed when the follicles start to grow that less follicles (or even none, if no eggs are produced) grow and ovulate. I have no real proof of this...its just my opinion.

sounds a lil fast to be producing eggs..i think you should post some pictures so we can see..most likly your cham is too young, or its older than you think..
