A change in Kevin!

So I have had Kevin for 14 days now and he had his first round of dewormer on thursday (4days ago) each day since the medication he has taken a tiny poop and today his behaviour is quite different. Normally Kevin is fairly lethargic but does drink and eat....since the medication he has only eaten 5 crickets but something different has happened, Kevin has been travelling all over his cage climbing and moving everywhere he has been going down on the bottom and en back up to the top...if I open the door to mist or feed he comes at me quickly and wants to walk all over me....is this odd or is he possibly just feeling better from the treatment of his parasites?

It sounds like he's feeling better. Parasites and the deworming can both be hard on a chameleon so it can take a few days for them to feel better. Don't forget to do a second deworming two weeks after the first.

Three cheers for KEVIN!! Sounds like your little guy is feeling better and his way of showing his gratitude is by using you as a jungle gym!! So happy to hear he's responding to treatment. Keep up the good work!!

Thank you for all of the replies I have been receiving it has been so helpful! I have had such a journey with Kevin so far and it has been stressful w him not being well. My other stress was the fact that the pet store lied to me about him because through the research that I had done I had asked for - ordered a captive bred...but they snuck poor wc Kevin in a box and sent me on my way w him lol so it has been a real learning experience....and I still don't know his locale or age!

Yeah, I don't believe anything pet stores say. If you think about what it takes to be hired there (not a whole lot more than working in a grocery store - not that there is anything wrong with the job in itself), and the fact that the pet store wants to make money... it makes sense.
Glad your Kevin is feeling better - hope he continues to improve! Our Leonard just finished his panacur treatment, I actually saw 2 dead worms in his droppings the other day.
Good luck!
