Thanks guys!!! The Sambava is one of my favs too. He isn't even flaring up in this pic. When he fires up his yellow is like Neon and his red is like fire. It was well worth the wait to see his mature colors.

Who's your sambava's sire? How old was he when he started showing those nice colors? I have a sambava too, 6 months old, and I just can't wait for him to start coloring up!

The sire is Sam from Vince at Screameleons. This Sambava finally started showing the neon yellows and bright reds at 2 years of age. Basically, I waited 2 full years to see the "typical" Sambava coloration. He is 25 months old now. The Sambava locale tends to take the longest for mature coloration, but well worth waiting for. I thought this boy would never turn red and yellow but finally he has. I am so happy with him.
