a little help?

does anyone know how to safely (for me and my chameleon) pick up and handle a female veiled because mine will hiss if I get too close because she is scared. she doesn't get aggressive just more scared. I've tried hand feeding but she won't eat out of my hands/tweezers. she has recently become more comfortable with me because she wants to come out more but I'm afraid that if I don't know how to hold her I won't know how to grab her if she starts running away. I really don't want to be bitten.

I have a 'problem' female panther. I show her both hands. I hold them up so she sees both, then which ever one she hisses and lunges at, i wrap her up in the other. She stops right away. She isnt afraid of what she knows, me holding her. She is afraid of that one hand coming into the cage. I hope she stops. It feels like she is soso scared of me and she has no reason to be.

Leave your hand flat palm down and try putting your hand into her cage below her feet & she should crawl onto your hand, if she trys to bite it will be harder for her to bite you with your hand flat! Go slow if she hisses & tries to bite move your hand away from her & try again!

Maybe because they have small triangular teeth I'm scared to get bit as well but the only time mine ever hisses at me is when he's sitting on my bun and he knows it's time to be put back in his habit it could also be a dominance thing as well when she does that and by hissing at you she knows you'll take your hand away from her and leave her alone so I think doing the 2 hand thing is a great idea I still pick mine up like this and move them to him slow towards him to give him time

If u scared to be bitten,u can always use a stick or branch for her to climb on it first then switch on to ur hand,and keep offer her treats so she wont think of u as a predator.
