These are of my deremenis, who hatched about 8/11, give or take a day. Because they still get small crickets and fruit flys, yet need their mist king 8 times a day this is my set up. i am ready for the bashing.:D They all get uvb, heat, food, misting and humidity. They live in a shower stall - happily

Some of the babies

The butterfly cages they live in. The tiny mesh keeps ff's and small crickets contained

Here you see how high the lights are above the cages and how the mistking is just chain linked together then zipped into the cage so there are no holes.

The humidifier that runs about 16 hours a day. look at both pics to see how it is set up

What's there to BASH? This looks like a bomb set up! great job they look happy and healthy! and you wont have fruit flies around your entire house :D

Laurie- They are looking good! I think your set up is great. In fact, I may use this when my quads hatch. How many babies are in those little cages?

What kind of enclosure is that? Reminds me of a pop-up laundry bag. I could use something like this for outdoors.

awesome babys do u u one mist king for all the cages?
Yes this is just one mistking, it is only linked by the tubing. That way it can mist 8 times a day 6 times for 1 minute and 2 times for 2 minutes. That give them plenty of drinking times and keeps up the humidity they need.

They are just like the pop up hampers but fully secure with a top and zipper. They are "butterfly palaces" they come from live monarch. I have them in 3 sizes and I do take a couple outside when I have more chams to go out than my outside cages are set up for.

I currently have 7 babies in each 14x14x24 cage. No drainage problems, no people in and out, just their little part of the world. Sad that I will need to move them down with the rest of the chams soon. they are only 1 month old so I will need to consider how long this can last before I have to split them up more, so fewer are in each cage.

Thanks to all, I was sure someone would give me major crap for making babies live in the can.

well i dunno Laurie, those babies dont look happy.......you may just need to send them to me LOL,

looks great !!! those lil ones are too cute....... cant wait

Thanks for yet more inspiration, for when I get some youngsters.........it looks very convenient, practical and all round good for babies

At least you live up to your own high standards...........but who in their right mind would be giving you crap?.........;)

Looks brilliant to me! What a stroke of genius! Solves the humidity and drainage issues in one hit! Who needs a shower anyhow?! :D
