A Photo Tribute To Hendershot (My Sweet Blue Boy)

We had to let Hendershot go yesterday evening. I am so sad. I have had him longer that any of my other current chameleons and he was my very special little blue boy. He was really feeling good and looking good last week but started looking bad Sunday. Hendershot was six years old back in April. I already miss him so much. Sleep tight my precious little blue buddy.

that truly liked each other. I lost JR in 2013.

Thank you Chase. Hendershot had a prolapse a few weeks ago and later became impacted and nothing shy of surgery worked. He was just to old to put through surgery and he was bloated and had gained weight. I could tell he was really feeling bad. It was very hard to let him go but it was the right thing to do.

What a lovely tribute to a beautiful boy! Any chameleon that finds its way into the Besok home is very lucky. I know firsthand he lived the life of a king! It is never easy letting go, but you did the right thing. He lived a wonderful long life and many years beyond alot the chameleons we see on the forum. RIP Hendershot. You will be missed by all.

Jann, I'm truly saddened to hear of your loss of Hendeshot, he was my first face to face with a "blue" chameleon. He will always be my favorite little blue guy!

He had a life full of love and caring... As hard as it was, you did the right thing.

Others have said it well,, he now is pain free and lounging in the great jungle above with those that went before him.

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words. It means allot to me. I miss my little blue boy so much. Tylene, I really feel for you with two senior citizens. I had 4 seniors in 2013 and lost them all in the same year plus a couple more due to other health issues. I was ready to just give up on keeping any pet.
