Abnormal moves

Hi all.

First of all, a happy new year to all, may all of you have a great and blessed year.

Rango was shedding for almost a week. His whole body has shed, except his tail. So I don't know if the moves he is making is because of this reason.

Since yesterday night, he is moving his behind from side to side, almost as if he is rubbing his behind on the brances of his tree, and the movement he is making, is so hard, that his whole tree is shaking. At first I thought that may cat (Tiger) was bothering him. Also, when he does this, he keeps on walking.

I hope someone can help me. I am very worried at the moment, because I don't know what is going on.

have you checked the branches and noticed any yellowish looking kind of gooey substance? If so, these would be sperm plugs and they will often rub on the branches back and forth to get them loose from their vent.

It sound slike your cham is getting friendly, very friendly with the branch...lol

This little rugger is shaking so much that it looks like a small tornado hitting the tree.... the leaves and branches and it all is shaking like mad,since this behaviour his tail is kept curled up and does not realy straightening? So when will this behaviour of him stop? Does it come and go with his happy moods or how do I manage this?

Gosh I have no idea! I am stumped!! I have seen my cham rub on the branches but nothing like that!

Maybe he is just really in the need....lol. That was my fiance replying. But this curly tail thing, does your cham do it as well? He doesn't look sick or anything. He is eating well, beautifull colour and everything.

Just an idea...is he wrestling with his branches with his front feet? For some species, and maybe individuals, shaking the branches with tail curled or lashing around, is a threat display to an intruder. I know melleri do it and it's intimidating if you add ear flapping, puffing up, gaping and hissing.
