hey guys i was thinking about getting a chameleon to have as a new member of my reptile collection. I've always been interested in them and was wondering which ones are not as expensive as panthers ... i was thinking about starting off with a veiled becasue there not as pricy as panthers and are a pretty cool all around cham... and suggestions otherwise and is it good for me to start off with a baby so i can get it tame (although most cham's dont like being held) or should i just get a juvenile?

Veileds are always a great starter cham. I would suggest a juvinile it will make feeding and getting appropriate sized feeders easier for the most part.
Veileds were my first cham and I stil love them, I think I will always have at least one in my group :)

thats really good its nice to hear someones opinion... if i started out with a juvenile would i still be able to tame it?

They are either tolerant to handling or not, I have had some from babies that were so sweet and go wild and others that I got as adults and they are nice. Each cham is different. Being the bearer of good things ( food, treats, outside time ) is the best way I have found to make friends :)
