First of all I would like to thank Catherine (Pardalisgirl) for this awesome Ambanja Chameleon. It is very obvious that she took great care of him and he is already showing awesome colors. My girlfriend at first wasn't to fond of chameleons because my veiled is always grumpy and kinda set her off of them, however this guy has a huge personality and she has fallen in love.

Now for photos ;)

Where is he?

Adonis :)

That's a good name for him....what Rocky failed to mention is that he is just a day or two away from a shed. His skin had that dull/opaque look and dry feel that it gets right before a shed. I was wondering if Rocky was going to find the panther and a pile of shed skin when he opened up the box! I want to see a picture of him later with skin expoding off his body and the true bright colors on the skin underneath. Sounds like he won your girlfriend's heart :)

it was bit off by a sibbling, but it doesnt seem to affect him at all, he still uses it to hold on to things and still has an awesome personality.

:eek:pardalis girl that guy looks great love that red speckleling and aqua where's his siblings i know there's more than two in a clutch hahahaha that guy is bada$$

The first thing I noticed was the deodorant in that first pic. Sheesh hehehe.

Nice looking cham. :)

Awesome looking Chameleon. Question on shipping though:

Will the not run out of air packed so tightly? I know it has to be done, I am just curious. I am surprised he didn't look all ticked coming out of the box :)

Packing....

He had plenty of air. There were small holes poked through the cardboard box. He was in a cloth bag made for shipping reptiles that breathes. He had enough room to move around in the bag in an area surrounded by the newpaper. He was warm too with heat packs so he probably just slept :)

Do you think it would be exciting or scary to go through the mail like that? LOL...

He is beautiful and am excited to see him after his shed.. And I think his stumpy tail is cute.:) Adds character.. Congrats!!!

Well, at least I know Ambanja's can make it all the way down here :p. Looks great. I can't wait until I get the money to get one.

As far as his tail,

animals with imperfections usually are the best pets of all..

haha ya, actually i think all of my animals have messed up tails to an extent :p

Moose(veiled) - he had a problem with a spot where the skin wasnt sheeding on the tip of his tail when we got him from the pet store so now it has a kink in it

Bailey(Doberman) - we got her from someone who cropped her tail bad so its kinda messed up, you cant really tail anymore though unless you look closely

Prince(Australian Shepard/Great Pyrenese) - Not sure why his tail was docked, but they did a horrible job at it. We rescued him from a pet store and I am pretty sure they used a rubber band or something when he was a puppy to dock it :(

Tipsy(Sugar Glider)(deceased :() - We got her from a pet store and apparently the mom nipped her tail off or something so she only had half a tail but she was an awesome and lovable pet.

and now we have Adonis the ambanja who has an imperfect tail, but he has an awesome personality!
