Adult dubias Heeelllpppp

@jamest0o0 Dearest Lord of the bugs. Some of us are new to the creepy crawlers that many find ‘old hat’. I did google to learn if Dubia can fly, as well as learning about my discoids. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one freaked out by these giant ugly roaches and share that in time one kind of gets used to them and even develops odd feelings for them.

the internet is full of lies

I found threads that said male adult red runners can fly, others that said they can only glide, and others that only mentioned that they can't climb. So it is very hard to tell what is true and what is not.

What they should mention in huge letters is that they can run faster that you can stomp your foot.

Im sorry you havent found the rare red lollygagger yet...

lol, James should breed a dancing roach that doesn't fly or climb. It just stands still and moves around to get your chams attention. But then again Peri would probably ignore that one as well.

Just put a dab of peanut butter on it's back, flip it over and watch it squirm to try and right itself. Easiest way to get your cham to eat a roach is to put it on its it's back. Like watching a turtle... only much more satisfying. I use the little 2oz deli cups to feed off things like roaches and BSFL. The added benefit is the satisfaction of the *tink* their tongue makes hitting the cup.

I have no idea if that peanut butter idea would actually work... but maybe something like a dab of honey might do? My chams will go for a "turtled" roach 10/10 times. Plus roaches make great feeders for dusting.

I’ve never had a problem with bugs before, but now that everyone at school knows I have roaches, I’ll screams hear people screaming and yelling my name across the lockeroom to go get a roach. :ROFLMAO:
