Ok, who's got them over 20"? I want to see. Not doubting anyone, I want to see them. I'm trying to breed for color and size - so anyone who's got a 20'+ male has got my attention.
I haven't seen a nice male near 24" in over a dozen years.

I just saw a couple of veileds at Repticon that really made my head spin. I could not believe the size. First FL Chams had a ginormous one and then I saw one somewhere else that dwarfed that one! So I dunno, the sky's the limit...

I got a male that is 24" here is a pic in comparison to a very large female. It's not a good pic But I'll put one on here in the next few days that has a measuring tape beside it so you can see for your self.

Thanks - is he a Florida WC? Seems Florida is doing the selective breeding necessary to overcome a decade and a half of non-selective breeding!
I really do need one of these monsters. But I have to make some room, and save up a bit of money first - gonna have another baby, so that kinda makes even the prosepct of getting 36" long veiled a bit less exciting.

No, not Florida wild caught. I live in Canada and I got him from a breeder about 8 years ago.The breeder just recently got out of breeding chameleons so I bought out everything she had. All of her enclosures, lights and chameleons. She was getting her Veileds from Europe and she passed on the contact. All the females she gave me are huge and produce clutches in the high 60's to low 70's. I sold all the males and brought a new one over from Yemen. He's only a baby and already about 7 inches long, so hopefully he'll be a biggin too lol........................................Now a Veiled thats 36" long that would be something to see!

I measured my oldest Male Veiled, he is about 5 years old and head to tail around 15+ inch.

What's his casque(fin tip) height?

I was surprised your Veiled in the pic didn't seem to have a real high head casque on him since he's such a long length. Maybe it's deceiving due to the pic and how he's positioned. How high is his casque? (Measured from corner of mouth to tip of head fin).
My 2 year old male Veiled is 18 inches(total length) and has little over a 3 inch casque.

mine is about 19 inches long from snout to tip of tail and hes about 1.5 yrs old.

my 5 year old male veiled is 18 inches long. i got a holdback from his last clutch that is growing really quick. about 7 inches at 2 months old.

LOl, this thread is somewhat amusing.
Firstly measuring a lizard should always be done snout to vent (s-v) , tails vary, and prehensile tails are often gripping something.
Secondly, 'Adult' dosent equate to full grown, though initial growth occurs before maturity, it dosent stop, merely slows considerably.
How can comparison be made then?, not to mention that size at or around maturity will depend largely on varying care/feeding/husbandry before hand. Genetic information will play some part also.
I have no idea how long homer is, I've never bothered to measure, Im more concerned with weight/general condition. Even the average size of a wild speciman is no indicator for a captive.
Note: Pumping your lizard to acheive maximum growth is NOT good. Pumping any reptile to increase growth rate is not good.
