Age for meal worms

I was wondering how old my Cham needs to be before it is suggested to give him meal worms. Everywhere I have been, they have told me that I need to wait because the exo skeleton can be hard on the digestive system. Well now he is going to be 6 months and I was wondering if it is ok to give them to him yet?

Mealworms are really not a great treat and i would avoid them all together. I would suggest trying superworms if your cham is big enough.

Yeah supers are better, but how big is he..... Do you have his length and or weight? Could you please post a picture?
