Aggressive Veiled?

First time owner of a Veiled. Im thinking she's on the younger side, because I've checked out some of the awesome pictures posted on here, and no noticible bands, colored or yellow, are on her sides yet. Just a couple of yellow spots.
I've had her for a week now, and I noticed around day 2, she would perch where she was able to see the entire enclosure. It's 24x24x36, so she has some space. Usually any time that I try to feed her, she turns a beautiful dark green color. Well today when trying to place slivers of a strawberry into her food bowl, she decided to hiss and gape. She turns this shade of green whenever my hands enter her enclosure. This green color definitely means she's pissed.

I'm wondering do you guys think this aggression stems from the stress of moving, her age, her species, whether or not she's trying to establish a territory, scared, or a combination of all? Any and all help is appreciated.

I want to work on hand feeding, but I want her to feel comfortable enough and realize that my hand isn't a threat.

Sounds like a proper veiled lol. Most of them go through a phase, some of them never grow out of it. Give her a while to settle in to her new home, and never approach them from above. You can begin offering food by hand after she has been with you for a few weeks, and that will often get them to see you as a "food tree" rather than a predator. I have had some that never come around though, and run to their safe spot whenever the door opens. Best to just leave them be sometimes.

My veiled is a grumpy guy. He tries to kill me for doing terrible things like feeding him, or picking up his poop. It's just the way some are. He was a very sweet boy and then one day flipped a switch, it's now his normal temperament. He's an observe only boy. I've handled him once since October. Nothing changed, nothing happened. It's just the way some are :)

It all depends on your veiled. My was aggressive but I gave him time to settle in and then worked with him. I would give him food from a cup or by hand. Then I started to lure him out of a stick and then put gim of my hand and let him get used to me. Again it all depends or your cham and give her some time to settle in to her new home.

I put mine in daycare center....alphakenc daycare center, every day I communicate with them with my hand, feeder, along with lots patience, somedays needs more n somedays less ,depending on their behavior, but I totally enjoying them:)

I have a sub adult male veiled and he is very aggressive. He always hisses and will try to bite if my hand gets within about 6 inches.
