I have a female veiled chameleon that is around 6 months old and she has become very VERY aggressive the past 2 months.. Anytime i mess with her cage at all she hisses, jumps and goes out of her way to try and bite me... If my mother comes over and tries to handle her she goes right up her arm but no matter what i do she tries to attack me... What should i do?

I had to hold one of my males back with a stick to get one of my females out of his cage. He ran down the stick and attacked my gloved hand. The stick was 3 ft long and my hand was well out of his cage! He attacks like a pitbull.

It might have something to do with your appearence. CHameleons tend to associate certain things. For example, my female panther hates my fingers. If i offer her my hand to climb she runs away. If i make a fist and offer it to her she climbs right up. My old panther use to hate glasses. I thought it was some sort of reflection that he hated but it was just glasses in general. Sunglasses on the head, reading glasses on the face. He hated the glasses. Try and figure out what she hates and hopefully its not just you but something else. I hope that helps.

Well i dont tru and handle her just putting food in her cage she tries to attack me but i need to take her plant out and replace it but i have no idea how i can do that without stressing her to much or getting bit
