Agnes showing receptive colors

With my Eartha trouble, I had forgotten to post this tiny bit of info.
Agnes has been showing receptive colors (I'm not going to breed her again .... at least not right now)
Almost exactly 3 months to the day since she and Kitty were mated.
This is congruent with my research (reading) and I found it interesting.

Feeding her less and keeping temperatures down doesn't mean that she wont become receptive.
Maybe just lest prone to developing eggs at an unnatural rate.
She has got it good, Brad, toughen her up.

So Agnes is still showing beautiful receptive coloration.
By my rough calculation she has been displaying these colors for about a month now (I should have made a note on the day it started, but didn't)
I am really interested to see how long this period goes without mating her again.
I think it's good information to know what your "window" is, and the question has been asked here before.
She has a healthy appetite and is not showing any signs of eggs. October 4th will be 3 months since she laid the fertile "Kitty Clutch".
Anywho ..... just a tiny bit of info from our house (it's all I got today)

I would personally only breed a female once a year ... twice at the absolute most.
It's really hard on them.

I know it is said that breeding a female gives her a half-life so does it stand that the more you breed her the shorter her life?
So are you planning on keeping any "Kittens"?

I would wager ( a lot) that the more you put a female through egg production, the shorter her life will be.
Nature didn't design these animals to have a super long life span, but they are designed to reproduce.
We are creating a very unnatural situation for them when we try to control egg production, but we can lengthen the time that they are around.

As to keeping any kittens .... we'll see (I might end up with all 37!)
I will make that determination when we see if any kittens actually emerge.

Keep us updated with what you find. I let my female go to long, she showed receptive, but I was going to let my friend set up some pro cameras and we missed it. She laid a small clutch 50% or less fertile (she was bred 3+months prior).

You'll notice the little blue spots all over her as well.

Well, this is what I am trying to find out (at least in this case ... but I would imagine it would be similar with all veileds)
I am hoping she does not cycle eggs at all.

Thanks for the compliment Trace. I don't know how you can look at that picture and not love veileds .... I don't think there is anything ordinary about them.

She and Kitty should produce some pretty awesome babies (fingers crossed)

Yeah i tell now Mine is receptive also! I can post a pic later today(swedish time) ..
So strong yellow on a female!! I havnt seen it before, gosh!
