So my Reptile Room smells bad, and I am blaming the crickets, lol. Anybody know of any safe air fresheners or any good smelling things like coffee grounds or something that will freshen up the room?

Thank you for the link! Don't worry, I clean it out, but it still stinks all of the time!Clean the crickets cage out. . Sorry...I just had to say that!
I don't think this would be a danger to them...but maybe get one of those diffusers with essential oils...like this...

It's horrible, I feel sick every time I open it, and then I ask my chameleon: Why didn't your ancestors choose roses as a food source? )I was just kidding...I know they smell!
Smells like rotting vegetables and poop.TBH I didn’t think the crickets smelled that bad until I was buying double the amount of them,
Until this forum I didn’t have a clue about gut loading them. So they would die really quickly. Now they live for weeks and they smell !!! Lol I had to stick them in the garage. Now the garage smells but not the house
BTW, how is your little guy?Lol it does !!
Looks great!Omg my little Oscar is soooo cute ! He ate from my hand today twice !!! Two butter worms. I don’t see him eating many crickets tho, I guess that’s the bad thing about free range feeding. I also just set up the mistking so tomorrow will be the testing day.
Maybe I am overreacting because I also keep birds, but I am very leery of using essential oil diffusers close to my pets. Depending on which oils you like to use, the volatile oils may deposit fine residues on surfaces in the room...and you might not want that stuff getting ingested. Room air cleaners that include ionizers can also create hazards. You might have some luck with an activated charcoal air filter with a fan. Something that absorbs stuff FROM the air, rather than RELEASE stuff into the air.Clean the crickets cage out. . Sorry...I just had to say that!

I didn't have a ton of airflow, just holes, but that bin is modified now, but the crickets still smell bad in general. How much airflow do you have? Crickets shouldn't smell that bad if they have good airflow and a clean up crew. I mean they still smell like crickets but not like sewage XD which is what I view crickets most people think of smelling as.
Thank you!!! I will probably try that, Happy New Year!!!I've been using the febreeze unstoppable plug ins for a couple years now with out any problems.
