Albinism occurs in the non-furry world (think fish, birds, nocturnal snakes, other lizards, amphibians, turtles, tortoises). How many captive bred morphs are manipulated albinos? A diurnal basking herp that is also albinistic isn't going to survive all that well if it can't tolerate sunlight. The whole physiology behind cham color is so different than mere steady state skin pigments.Albino anything that doesn't have fur, usually have a sensitivity to sunlight, maybe that species cant become purely white because of the amount if UVB and sun it needs??? just a guess though
I was just wondering why there are no albino chameleons. Or if there are there must be very very few of them. Any info, pictures, or stories about them? Just curious.
Awww it looks just like mineSure there are, I had one hehehe!View attachment 206110
I actually own an albino panther chameleon he’s my first reptile pet and I got him in August. His name is Fry and he just turned 7 months on the 19th (the first photos were when we first got him the last photo is him last week)
Are you sure cause when we first got it it had a large noticeable buldge and now I do t see it that muchThat is nowhere close to albino. Just a regular female panther.
