I can’t believe I forgot to post Lottie girl,

This is my little Karma. He was rescued from a bad owner (they had him in a five-gallon bucket, no lights, no heat source, no branches, and didn't even know what he was supposed to eat.) I'm not sure of the real story about how this person came to have him - no way could he have afforded to buy him. He was either caught out of the wild, or traded for beer money. Not a clue how old he is, but I can say he was about 1.75" from nose to base of tail when we got him. After six weeks of dedicated love and care, here he is!

He is now 4" from nose to base of tail, and he weighs 26 grams.

wow mine is also named karma

This is my 5 month old Stripes. My son named him that when he saw his “super cool” white (now yellow) stripes

Wow, can't believe all the colors! Is it only the male Veiled's that get the extraordinary colors? Also, if you saw one in Petco, assuming it's healthy, what do you look for that would indicate it would turn out to have above average colors??

Never buy from a big chain pet store, only from a reliable breeder who is honest, open, organized, and can trace lineage. Always get a captive born and bred cham if possible. FL Chams is a good online place, and there are many breeders on this forum! Think quality and health of a cham over price! Make sure to have everything properly set up if not already, as well
 
While males are more colorful and easier to care for, female veileds get gorgeous colors when receptive, gravid, and of course fired up (though only green for that). With a true breeder, you can see what your cham will look like from its lineage
