Almost ready :) a little venting

Well I'm almost ready to do the full commitment and get a baby panther. A week maybe two. Yesterday I received my dual t5 fixture from Lightyourreptiles so now I just need to get 2 plants, wash them and repot them. Got 5 branches I'll be placing horizontally in a decline from basking to cool down spot, one fake pothos vine, a manzanita "tree" for further climbing, my digital thermometer and hydrometer, and my mistking ready to set up. I'm a little worried about the drainage but that I'll work out as I do some test runs before I he gets here.
What is bugging me is idk where to get my panther from :( I'm strongly leaning towards kammers because their breeders are to die for and flchams seems to not always have babies from the dads I've seen. Price is somewhat something to consider as $400 isn't just chum change especially since I haven't owned a chameleon before but again, that's about how much I've spent just to get his enclosure ready. Idk maybe it's just the nerves of doing something wrong are getting to me lol so yeah that's me venting a little haha o_O

Hi there chatt with @Matt Vanilla Gorilla . Good luck .

Oh yeah I remember Elwood! I lurk a lot here taking in info and looking at what people ask about so I have an idea when it happens to me lol I want an ambilobe but nosy be chams are so beautiful too! I wish I could have one from each locale lol

Canvas chameleons just posted some babies for sale on the forum. Prices are better than 400
Thanks for the tip. My grand daughter and I checked out their inventory two weeks ago, and there were only two chams in stock. We're having a difficult time deciding between a Kammer's blue bars or a Bolt's boy from Canvas. All are beautiful specimens, great customer service, and well worth the asking prices.

I have a Krammers baby and he is the best!! So healthy. And Briana is so helpful. I couldn't decide which baby to get and I called and she helped me pick out the right one. I ended up with an Ambanja male son of Tar Aldarion.

Well worth the $$

I also have a kammerflage kreation. I can say that their customer service is why I bought from them. Briana is a delight to talk/email with and still gives support when I have questions or concerns. I live in North Carolina and my chameleon made the trip from California without any issues.

Have you tried @NHenn ? He's very well respected.

@theintouchable88 Don't worry, you are at the hardest part of the process with picking a breeder and then the actual panther chameleon but once that is over, believe me it will all be worth the endless second guessing, sleepless nights, and nervous ticks lol.

It sounds like you are doing everything right with getting the cage set up perfectly and you most certainly choose the best lighting option in my opinion.I use T5 HO fixtures on all my setups and I always recommend them. If you would like to send me some pictures of your setup I would be more than happy to look it over and let you know if everything looks good for your new chameleon. Also, I would be more than happy to show you what panthers we currently have available to see if any catch your eye as the perfect chameleon for you. I understand your concerns with spending a large sum of money on something new as it can be very scary getting our first chameleon and not having that comfort level of working with them in the past. Because of this, we did start a new and unique program for all our panther chameleons that will cover them from virtually anything to every our customers the piece of mind that should the unspeakable happen that you are not out all that money and would have to pay it again to get another chameleon. Its called our LIFEtime Guarantee and I would be more than happy to give you some more details on the program if you would like. Please free fell to shoot me a PM, an email at [email protected] or give me a text/call (610) 812-7479.

@acarrera Thank you for checking out our website. I do my best to keep everything up to date with my current babies that are available but most times I have some others that I either didn't have a chance to list or they are a few weeks away from their ideal shipping size so I don't place them up on the website right away. So, please always feel free to reach out to us and just see what I might have on hand that isn't necessary up on the website. I added a cool feature to the website that I hope will help give customers a little more insight to our breeding activities and hatching babies so that they can plan ahead or see if their ideal sire is going to become available soon. If you check out our Calendar page https://www.canvaschameleons.com/calendar/ it will have some highlights as to what babies might be hatching right now and when new babies will become available, etc. It also has a feature to join the waiting list for the particular sire which once I start taking reservations or they are available to ship I reach out to everyone on the list to keep them in the loop if they are still interested in own one of the little guys.

To give you an update on Bolt babies! We have a few fantastic males growing up right now that should be ready for their new homes come late February / March. So if you and your grand daughter are leaning towards bringing home a Bolt boy I would be more than happy to discuss setting up a reservation for one and sending over some pictures of the little guys so you can see how they are currently developing.

PS. @Angelwolf and @jajeanpierre thank you so much for the kind recommendations! We do our best to stay up to date on threads like these but sometimes they just slip through the cracks so we greatly appreciate you mentioning our name!

I got one last September from http://www.chameleonparadise.net/ and he has been an incredible guy! He's grown quite a bit and he was very well started when I got him. I'd buy from there again.

There are lots of choices out there, as long as you stick with a site sponsor, you should be good :).

I've seen up close, multiple years in a row, what the Krammers offer in their Panthers. The money is well spent on their bloodlines and the professional information they offer. They do give lifetime support to any of their customers. Money well spent if you are new to the hobby.
