most bugs will work just find out what they are first. Make sure thier not poisonous.Roaches, meal worms, some plants, moths are some bugs they can eat.

The pygmies also seem to like aphids. No ladybugs though, they're toxic.

I hear some alternative foods are baby foods, is this true and can you list some safe baby foods for an emergency situation

You may get a veiled to eat baby food or fruit slices but I've never heard of any other species eatting plant or fruit/veggie matter.
