Am I allergic to Leo?

Does this happen to anyone else? After I handle Leo, I end up with little red spots all over my arms from where his claws pricked me. I handled him a little more than an hour ago, but the spots haven’t gone away. Can you be allergic to chameleons??? I’m allergic to my cats and this is what happens when they scratch me — I get red spots that don’t go away for a while and they itch a little. Anyone else experience this?

It could be an allergic reaction, or it could just be that they have pretty sharp nails that irritate the skin that causes a reaction regardless of allergy

This happens to me all the time!! Im sure your not allergic. It usually happens to me when my baby grips too hard, from her nails being so long. it should go away after a little.

It helps if you don't have sensitive skin. Get a full sleeve tattoo and you won't notice it anymore

Same thing if I handle raptors without a glove. Small ones like a cooper or merlin.

Thats why Im hooked!? So I can expect my new addiction to poke holes in me and get an endorphin rush! Lol!
