Am I getting scammed?

I bought Clouseau from The Panther Company, a forum sponser, who was very easy to work with and had extremely reasonable prices and I could not be happier. He was also on the west coast and it was towards the end of November when shipped. The shipping was overnight with a heat pack and there was never a mention of concern regarding temperatures. Clouseau arrived warm and happy, ate and drank right out of the container. I am sorry this happened to you and I hope you get things worked out. :(

this is a tricky one for sure. its very fishy however they are trying to push it and push it. i personally would go for the complaint and get my money back. after several bad experiences with people and paypal themselves, i refuse to buy anything if paypal is involved. good luck is all i can say. i hope everything works out just fine.

The Fauna BOI has specific rules for good reason. It is so easy to misunderstand who is writing, who is being reviewed, and who is actually providing the feedback you are looking for without using real names. Cham forums does not do this as we don't venture into that whole arena. I have lurked and read reviews on the BOI for years so understand how they work. You don't have to post a "bad guy" report if you are not sure there's a reason, but you have the option to post an inquiry---or an information post asking others if they have ever dealt with your seller. There's a different post icon to use; either the question mark or the lightbulb. It won't come off as an insult or an accusation that way. If your seller is legit, they should not mind your post at all, as it would give them a chance to respond as well.

Personally, I would also be reluctant to ship a cham cross country during winter (especially this winter!). Just because other breeders will doesn't really help you. Everyone's shipping situation or options are a little different. I wonder if you could negotiate a private agreement with your seller over this. So many of these things fall apart simply because someone gets defensive or feels insulted. There's no reason for this yet IMHO. Part of your deal would be to do the refund to get the PayPal problem out of the way, and agree to complete another sale for this same animal a little later in spring. Is there any reason you have to receive this cham sooner? Believe me I understand you want your animal sooner than later, but putting its life at risk because one of you is uncomfortable isn't worth it.
Hi forums this thread was just brought to my attention.my name is David Echeverria I'm ibdragons here on the forums I've sold allot of chameleons here on this sight.I've never had any problems in also a senior member. With that said I think this op is talking about me.when we first agreed she said let's wait till it's warmer no rush. Two weeks later she wanted it shipped because she had a week off I was reluctant to ship him . She never told me she was worried about me shipping. We only communicated through one phone call and the rest emails.i never received text. She must of sent then to another phone number.I kinda felt pressured so I shipped him. She emailed me that night that the FedEx guy never knocked and it was outside for a while.so it froze to death. Heat pack wasn't warm. That's why I don't ship in cold weather. I hatched that nosy be and love them so imagine how I felt when she sent pics of a dead panther. I took her word for it.I sent her two ambilobes in place of the nosy be to accommodate her. Those of you who know me and bought from me know that I love my animals and I'm an honest person. I didn't want to ship even though she said other breeders ship in cold weather.I have every email she sent me and not once does she say she's worried.
By the way I found out about this thread by someone who connected this thread with a boi thread about this author.if anyone has Any questions please e-mail me at [email protected]
again my name is David ibdragons here on this forum thank you
