Hello i rescently got a veiled chameleon a couple months ago nd she is about 8-9 months old.. Ive done alot of research to take proper care of my cham but i hadd a question about feeding her.. I usually feed her about 3 times a dayy with about 6 crickets per serving, but after each serving she still seems hungrey.. :( ive read that you could over feed ur chameleon so i try 2 keep her at a limit.. Am i doing the right thing or should i feed her til she cant eat?? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.. Thanks again..

9mo old cham, 18 (im assuming medium) crickets a day

sounds like overfeeding by a significant margin. Im surprised she can eat that much and still want more. Without knowing any more details I'd say you should put her on a diet. About 5 large per day, even every other day, and you'd be fine

make sure to gutload and mix up what bugs you offer

hi there.:)

your cham should have variety of foods in her diet.
dubia roaches, silkworms, locust, superworms ( only a few a week) are all good foods your cham will love.

@chefboyardee ill be sure to cut down on her intake, but out of curiousity what can anything badd come out of overfeed besides a bigger belly? Lol nd i do gutload my feeders with the flukers cricket food, lettuce, poratoes etc..

@xcrystalx ill give her like 3 hornworms a week which she loves nd fill her up but i havent hadd any luck with the mealworms. :( ive tried all different sizes nd she'll just look at them.

Thank u guys for the advice , greatly appreciated :)

Over feeding a female can make them have larger clutches of eggs. They lay even if not bred. Kath.
