ambanja or ambilobe

I am a current owner of veiled.

I want to get another cham next year or so.
I want to buy a panther..
Offcourse for obvious reason (the color) and the less complicated care compared to other species.

But i just cannot make up my mind...
I saw a purple bar ambanja and I fell in love with it.
but ambilobe is also stunning.

Diego suarez is beautiful but for some reason.. it does not strike me as much as Ambanja and Ambilobe.

To expert owner...
What are the pros and cons of these two?

They're the same species just different locales.

Basically the same...just your ambanja can have purple blue in them with normally not as much red as a ambilobe. The ambilobes can have bright red bars as well as blue...potato...potaaato

Same animal, different regions. I think Ambanjas get lost in Ambilobes popularity Ambilobes are the rainbow chameleon from what I've seen and read. I'm torn between both as well; thats why I just got both.

OK Guys......

OK Guys............I have to respond to this......I've got what I feel are a few pretty amazing Ambilobes......Here are a few..........

Khai is a Blue Bar from Screameleon's "Brendan" line:



Lycoris should be called Lava Man. He is a captive hatched Ambilobe from a wild caught mother. I bought him from Cruizin Chameleons. Some of his pictures look doctored because they look like he is made of molten lava:



And Valerio has been shown on this site several times. He is also captive hatched from wild caught parents. I bought him from Jenna at Prism Chameleons. He has a blue "X" bar which is unusual.



I love all the locales. I have most of the locales. In my opinion you can find poor, average, superior and spectacularly colored animals in each of the locales. Sorry to differ guys, but I am compelled to do it

one thing that an ambanja has that an ambilobe doesn't is Purple color.
Somebody able to prove me wrong?

Ambanja

I had a vieled when i was younger, than a jackson. They never fit me just right so now 10 years later I have done alot of research and desided a panther was right for me now I wanted an Ambilobe because it had the most pictures up so I could know what they would look like but I ended up getting an Ambanja and I am very happy with my choice he has an awesome personality and already awesome coloring. I am pretty sure he is going to be a red bar with the typical yellow mouth but he has blue under his mouth and his head along with blue speckles throught his body. I really hope he is bright! He is about 5 months now and they told me that is he is already showing this much color than he should be very vibrant! I got him from LLL reptile in san diego they were very informative and helpful. I drove almost @ hours to get him even though they ship them I wanted to pic out the personality not buy one sight unseen. So what I am trying to say is that I believe that the Ambiliobe panthers are overrated because they are the most common out there, I personally would rather have the less common one! But if you were going to chose just one, I'd say - AMBILOBE ALL THE WAY!

They are like movie pieces of art, who cares if they are overrated.

I think ambanjas are far more attractive personally than ambilobes. The reason being is I like blue chams with purple bars and yellow lips. Catherines' chams are absolutely phenomenal and if I had the oppurtunity to purchase an ambi that looked like lava man/2nd pic I'd jump all over that. But I have seen a lot of ambi's and very very few were of the superior quality of hers. To me most of the ambi's i see have muddied looking barring. I like nice clean barrs with a nice lateral line. I ve just seen more banjas with the clean seperation in their colors and barring that i prefer. Jmp preference. Btw my new fav locale is the mitsio's. If you ever see one in person you will have to have one.
