That is crazy!. Was he in a plant or just sitting on the driveway?

Sweet! Congrats on finding him again, he's beautiful. I think they may wander some but generally stay in the area where they escaped. I'm still hoping to find one that got away from me a couple months ago.

Congrats on finding him! I had one that was gone for about 3 months and was found 1 mile from my house! He was in great shape. I quaranteened him from the others and had fecal checks for a while until it was safe.

My one bud told me of a p. cham that ran away and was found 1 YEAR later. He saw a tounge shoot out of a bush on his front lawn as he walking to go to work in the morning. He too said he grew to a massive size.

So happy to hear that you got your baby back. My Sambava has been missing about 3 weeks too, and your letter has renewed my hope that I might still find him.

Yay,what a story!!! so glad you got him back!! if i lost a panther i would do my nut!!! once when i first started keeping chameleons,i had yemens and used to sun them outside in a bird cage, had some females in there and one squeezed by the bars of the cage....i thought she was gone forever, the weather was nasty uk rain and grey heavy storms ect, anyway my old dear was sorting the flower beds 3 months later and found her just perched near our pond, she was in amazing health i was speechless, they really do surprize you:)

Im tellin you...We had terrible weather and he looks so much healthier than when i was caring for him ;)...He looks so fat and colorful...Hes been eatin birds and cicadas...lol

Careful! Everyone is about to get a collective large free range idea :p

This same thing happened with my quaker parrot when I was still in high school...gone for about a week and then as I was walking to work one day, there he was, sitting on the fence I was walking beside, looking bedraggled and as if saying "take me home now"

Wow..what stories I hear from everyone! You guys all have lost chams and that's exactly why I won't put mine outside...I'm scared to lose them! I have a jackrussell that would kill him in a snap! Heck, she tried getting through the screen cages and I didn't realize it till she started poking holes in them and wondered why they were always hissing and ticked off!

Glad you got your handsome boy back Ricky!
