Ambilobe Panther Chameleon sex?
Hello. I was hoping I could get a second opinion on these pics.
Yesterday I purchased a 3- 4 month old Panther Chameleon that the Dealer was 90% sure was a male.
I had a Yemen for a few years who died Egg Bound and my vet said males are easier. Having read up on Panther Chameleons I wanted a male.
Bringing it home and reading about sexing I think she is a female and I also am wondering if the reputable dealer knew this and said to me it is male (knowing I wanted male, as they said it is impossible to tell for sure sex at this age. They decided male based on blue colouring showing by its head in the shop.
I have read about looking at the base of the tale and to me I see no bulge and it looks like there is a tapering at the base. Is this bit of internet research accurate and can I get opinions on sex and age? Also they said if it was female, Panther females are easier than Yemen females to care for.... Isnthat true..Thoughts?
