American Persimmon / Non-Toxic for Chameleon?

I need to know if anyone can verify this tree is a safe choice for a chameleon:

American Persimmon: Diospyros virginiana
Family: Ebenaceae

I can't find anything stating this tree would be toxic in any regard, and the fruits are certainly edible, but that doesn't mean the leaves might not be.

Anyone know?

Thanks,

They don't seem to contain any toxics regarding literature - in contrast to Ficus, Pothos and all those plants often mentioned as "chameleon safe", which contain furcocumarines or oxalic acids. The real important point is: Does your chameleon regularly eat plants or nibble flowers from time to time? If yes, all plants should be non-toxic and there are great edible plants to offer for chameleons (Hibiscus, Calystegia...). If no, you can use any plant with whose toxics the chameleon only would get in contact by eating. And if yours is a Chamaeleo calyptratus or any other species well known for nibbling flowers and leaves, better be safe and choose the yes-alternative. ;)
