An apology.

As a respectful adult I accept your apology; you mainly needed to apologize to me because I am having a very hard time not making an inappropriate joke that very few people would find amusing...

Welcome back David! I have no idea what happened and it is non of my business but remember...Mistakes are stepping stones as long as we learn from them :)

I love this quote:" Don't judge me by my past, because I don't live there anymore" I think this can pertain to any situation we want to put behind us. We all have been there. That being said.... I am glad you are back!!! You knowledge and humor has been missed!!!

Thank you to everyone who has responded......you people are the reason I tried so hard to get myself back on here....

Whoa, whoa whoa! I agree with you totally, but watch the language!;)

Yeah, there's already been one friendly response to this thread that was deleted.......strange, as it broke no rules that I am aware of (no swearing!)......and nobody saw fit to tell anyone why it was deleted......it seems almost random sometimes....oh well.....the referees decision is final....no point complaining.....

Shit happens, right? Very, very glad to have "Mr Care sheet" back, regardless of the drama behind the scenes! Move on and let's talk chams!! ;)

Looks like posts being deleted for "language" is entirely subjective. I posted the same word but with symbols for the h and I.......got deleted, a private message warning as well, but I guess the difference is that I was posting something they didnt like.

Just to clarify, we try to be as lenient as possible, but when you use the word aimed at someone in a derogatory fashion (as you did, I was the one who gave you the warning), ommitting a letter does not change the intent of the statement. Such statements aimed at other members also violate additional forum rules (i.e., "Members must show respect for others at all times. This is crucial to maintaining a friendly environment. There are no exceptions." and "Chameleon Forums will not tolerate rudeness, personal attacks, derogatory insults, bigotry, defamatory comments, or purposeless inflammatory behavior. Our decision is final in these matters." in addition to "Content submitted should be appropriate for all ages. Please refrain from using profanity and discussing adult topics."). If you have any further questions, you're welcome to reply to the warning I sent you, however the warning is a courtesy and you are expected to obey the rules.

I think that these rules are what do make the forum a generally good place for people of all ages to seek knowledge about chams.

Having said that, I'm also glad to know that the moderators often privately warn people rather than publicly lambasting or instantly and/or permanently banning people for infractions.

If I may make a suggestion, I think it would be very helpful if the forum pages had a conspicuous tab for the Site Rules, rather than only having a link to them on the home page itself.

It can be embarassing if one unintentionally violates a rule and making the rules easier to find would help avoid that.

Sometimes embarrassing....yeah :eek:.....sometimes even sorta painful.......:rolleyes::D:cool:
Gonna put up my favourite Nirvana song.......wrong place....right time... song starts just before 1:30 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayzDaWuUPd0

Edit : When it comes to the bad language.......well - I reckon if you can't find a creative way to say what you think without swearing then you don't really deserve to be allowed in polite company......:D lol
Personally I prefer impolite company in real life......but I try to be on my best behaviour most of the time ;) :cool:
Two of my favourite replies to this thread are now gone..........
