So my Cham has never like me to be near him, at all. When ever I put my hand or finger near him, his starts hissing and snapping at me, and as bite me more than once. I try to get him out of his cage everyday, and I hung a fake vine with leaves near my bed so he can be near me when I read, but is there anything else I can do different to make him like me. I love him, and I just want him to at least tolerate me. Thanks!

My suggestion is to take it slow and never grab him out of the cage if he doesn't want to go. Try hand feeding as well, it will help him trust you.

Dont chase him or force him out of the cage unless its necessary. sit in the room with him doing something quiet so he gets used to you just being around. You can also try hand feeding. I started by holding the feeding cup for a week or two until I was able to feed mine directly from my hands. They will associate your hand with food eventually

Mine was the same way. Then I started opening his cage door and letting him get out and hung some bend a branch around window curtains. He gets very happy to get out and got use to me more. I'd move around room but wouldn't focus on him. Also hand fed horn worms. He got way more tolerant. I move him back to cage using a stick. Sometimes I have to urge him onto stick but he's gotten better. Rarely hisses at me or lunges. Occasionally Puffs and shows spots but not nearly as often.
