Angry veiled

My veiled chameleon is about 4 months old now and he is sure getting a personality. He likes me more than my boyfriend. I tend to be the one who interacts with him more though. Which i figure is part of why he doesnt like my boyfriend as much.

When we walk in the room he tends to puff up and act like he is big and mean. When my boyfriend went in the room the other day, he totally puffed up and opened his mouth and hissed at him. I thought it was quite cute!

He is also flashing all his cool colors now too. I will have to post pictures but the black and yellow colors are awesome.

Do they know the difference from a man and a woman? And when he gets older, will his colors stay out more or will he stay the lightish green color he usually is when he is not showing his colors?

Oh and another thing, he (and im sure he is) has started to dig in one of the potted plants. The umbrella to be specific. I dont think he is eating the dirt but he has put a good 1in in diameter hole in the pot. Is this normal?

yes, he has spurs. he was doing it again today and sticking his tongue on the dirt. I wonder if he is looking for water...he gets sprayed at least 4 times a day and sometimes more. the plants hold the water for a good amount of time.

from reading the other post about the veiled digging, Mine is only just scraching the surface. No large holes and his spurs are visible on my picture of him. I attached it.

He moves around like a crazy man, he sits under the heat lamp in the morning, and likes to eat in the morning. i put in atleast 20 - 23 crickets today and have seen him eat atleast 15 or so. He also does the bob of the head but only at my boyfriend. I think its a male thing.
