i have a basking light and the linear reptisun 5.0 but i was wanting a little more light for the plants.
i know too much light can hurt their eyes and they could possibly get too much uvb so i was wondering what would be a good linear bulb that would work but wouldnt bother the cham...

I would just get a cfl light from home depot they produce a great amount of white light and will lighten up your cage. just use one of the clamp lamps with it they are inexpensive.

so would these 3 lights be okay? a reptisun 5.0, basking light (blue daytime 50watt), and 6500k light as a growing light. all the lights are only one during the day, and the growing light is only on for 6 hours of the day

Cfl's used to cause Eye probs about 3 years ago the prob with them has been fixed its time to get over it.

there are still old lamps floating around. it isn't something to get over, it is something to remember and be aware of.

the issue was mainly with Zoo Med lamps and R-zilla.... R-zilla has bad linear lamps.

the main thing, stick to what works.... and that is zoo med linear lamps. They have it right, and that is what people should try to remember. if Zoo Med changes things around.... it will be a sad moment.
