Another question

Hey guys, it is me again and I have another question. So Pascal still hasn't pooped and is not eating the greatest either now. We have a vet appointment scheduled for this Saturday. Unfortunately, I have to work the next two days and couldn't do it sooner. Anyways, the appointment is at 8am. His lights don't go on till 8am. I will need to leave by 7:30. So my question, is how to I go about loading him up? Gently grab him while sleeping? Does this scare them at all? I would need to load him by 7:20am. I know this may sound like stupid questions, but I have never ever disturbed him while sleeping. I just want to do it all right. Thanks guys

Could you not turn the light on in his cage 30 minutes before leaving in order to give him a moment to wake up and bask?
