My two adults were tame right out of the shipping box.
The Nosy Be, despite getting used to me a little, are still hissers and gapers.
Now I have 14 baby Nosy Mitsio, and 19 baby Nosy Be.
The differences in personalities just in the babies, all between 1-2 months old, are astounding. The Mitsio babies are just like their parents - chill. No hissing, they crawl on each other and there's no hissing or fighting, they share space.
The Nosy Be are stressful, lol. They hiss at each other, and me, they are never close to each other, they are territorial already at one month old, and are generally just more high strung.
Just an observation I wonder if anyone else has made. I wonder if it's the smaller, more remote location of the island of Nosy Mitsio, that a high population of panther chameleons has bred some more of that wonderful Island Life 'peace, love & understanding' into them. I wouldn't be surprised if they pass the peace pipe around while I'm away at work.
